When looking to engage a consultant to facilitate the MRC Board of Management Strategic Planning day we sought specific knowledge and expertise in the governance and strategic space. We also looked for someone who was able to effectively consolidate our achievements and future goals, needs and requirements into a useable document.
MRC approached Michelle to facilitate our Board of Management Strategic Planning Day, as we believed that her knowledge and understanding of the community services, not-for-profit sector would give the best opportunity for contribution by both board members and senior staff.
Michelle ‘interviewed’ each Board member prior to the planning day to ascertain their expectations and give some depth to the discussion of topics and key strategic areas on the day. This information also formed part of the preparatory background papers.
Michelle’s ability to bring together a diverse group, to be flexible and focused, and to work closely with us to develop our key goals, strategic activity and measurable outcomes led to what participants on the day believed to be an extremely productive effort.
